Esperanza is a Peruvian girl who comes to Chile to work as a maid at the house of a prominent businessman in uptown Santiago. In his native leaves Ariel, her little eight year old diabetic child and his mother, who hopes to bring to Chile shortly. She only wants to work hard and raise money to send to their country and give your family a better life. But there is a big surprise, Juan Panlo, the homeowner, is the man who, eight years ago had a night of love and was never seen again, relationship from which his son was born. Today Juan Pablo is married and has a child of the same age as Ariel. Both children also share the same disease: Diabetes. Recognizing his former love, decides to leave the house, however, circumstances would make Hope to stay and have to learn to share with Juan Pablo and his family, having to shut up and keep that great love he still feels for him and never managed to forget.
